stormtracker
Very good, very cool run. Sold. No temp/thermal issues. NAM might be on its own with the thermal stuff. Or it could be picking up on something. We shall see.

ers-wxman1
Warning level snowfall for much of the sub forum. North of I-66/50 likely to see 6-10”, south mixing likely to an extent, but big question is how will the upper levels evolve and how quickly can the coastal get organized. Potential for an uptick with future runs if the 850/700/500 can close off or at least take a favorable south of the region track. Cold air in place. This is our best shot in several years. 15 1 2 1

And yes, heavier bands made it more north just past DC this run which helped punch up totals slightly there. 3

Still feel there’s some mix that makes it to mby. 6” (maybe 8”) plus seems pretty plausible.

It causes some issues with trees on power lines but I slightly prepare. Even if it doesn’t forecast pingers, we always get it.

caviman2201
To me this lines up with what PSU said earlier about the northern gradient tightening up and becoming sharper... and that as long as you're inside 0.3" QPF you're gonna do okay. Looks like the Euro is tightening up the northern gradient
