I love daytime snow but something to be said about just getting ripped in the street lights 1-2"/hr at 24 degrees.

That is true, I have to say!  During the 2016 blizzard, I was up most of that night, maybe catching a nap here and there in amongst Jebwalks, taking photos, and regular snowfall measurements.  What's funny is that I was a bit worried someone would have called the cops on me, wondering why there was some whacko wandering around in the snow with a yardstick and a camera around his neck in the middle of the night!!!

Don’t worry. That is normal life today.

And then waking up to the early morning sounds of a snow plow scraping the street. Nothing like it.

I love the pre plowed peacefulness of covered streets, especially up in my hood since they don’t seem to come mid goods. Roads get dicey quickly in Carroll valley when it snows, especially in the higher sections.

Inside the DC beltway and Southern Maryland getting 8+ inches? Would be super cool. But I'll believe that once we see runs of that for the next 48 hours straight lol.

Been burned by the last minute northern jog too many times.  Plus there was a storm from my childhood that did something similar in Michigan and I still got trauma from it.

For the past number of years my little hood has had a contract with a skid pro operator to navigate the tiny streets, that dude gets started early. :)

Damn that Kuchera euro...is this shit really gonna happen?   I'm skeptical.

I don’t remember if there was a time the euro caved to the GFS so close to the event.  Especially with the EPS looking like that 18z did.  Do you?
