Good trend by the GEFS the last few runs. Will have to see if Euro/EPS follows. It did better the current event than the GFS as far as pinpointing the max snowfall stripe south of us imho

SomeguyfromTakomaPark
I like where we are for this one, always prefer misses to the south at this range than miller B bombs that only hit New England.
stormtracker
So doing a run to run comparison 12z GFS vs 12z Euro, they look fairly similar at H5 thru 42...doesn't mean much yet tho...just callin shot rn 3

stormtracker
Actually kinda matches the GFS with the southern vort. Northern vort isn't as diggy and as far south tho at this time
stormtracker
Yeah, its not gonna phase like the GFS..northern vort too far north and out of whack
stormtracker
Both models were looking similar until they diverged at hour 72. Euro doesn't like the nrn stream vort like the GFS does. Weirdly enough the Euro is trying to recover. So let's see how this goes

stormtracker
It's doing the weird "tail" thing...positively titled trof. Nothing like the GFS at H5

The next NS wave is actually much better but there is no southern wave for it to work with, the STJ wave before took all that energy off the table. Amped
Gfs is the only model that has a piece of NS energy breaking off over Nebraska. The other models seem to keep it moving eastward across Canada.

Quasievil
Just the idea of snow for Saturday is where we want to be. Sure, I'd take the 40" in Annapolis that the GFS had but a split of their ideas is the best bet.
