Heisy
Canadian system looks like snow to a mix S/E of 95It’s getting colder as the storm is progressing since the HP is building in as the storm commences .
Steve25
23 minutes ago, mitchnick said: S&E again with the system. Ughh I say this with all seriousness, do you really want the GFS showing big hits 7-10+ days out? Almost feels like the kiss of death recently. Just look for signs of cold air with storm activity in the vicinity at this range.

Shad
Be cool to have a 4 day period with multiple waves affecting the region with 6-12 inches...... would make for one of the best Januarys in the last 20 years

That's actually pretty true, all joking aside. This is the epitome of a normal Mid Atlantic Winter we or most are accustomed to.

This is where we root for the SE Ridge to pop and push the storms northwest.

Heisy
12z GEFS trend, can tell it’s moving towards leaving energy behind the front. Solid step. 6
stormy
GFS has the same system which is always good, but has the Atlantic ridge weaker and the system is suppressed.

Weather Will
There was a lot of chatter about the MJO going into the warm phases late January, now looks like it is heading into the null phase and potentially back into the cold phases instead. 1
clskinsfan
That little clipper on Thursday/Friday has shown up a couple of times with a shot at some measurable. I know we are big dog trackers here. psuhoffman
It’s funny that some seemed more “optimistic” the last several years when we were stuck in absolutely hopeless situations. I’d see these posts trying to polish the turd we’d been handed. I was like “what are you looking at this is crap and we have no hope” and they would say I was being a deb. Now we have a legit good pattern with a real chance to have a good season and many are now more pessimistic than me. WTF is going on? 6 12
