Geez, I hope everyone is well Walt. Someone mentioned in one of the other threads that there was no flu this year and I wondered where exactly they lived as it's rather rampant this year around here. Santa delivered the norovirus this year to most of my family, that wasn't fun but all are well now. Looks like Sunday l should get above freezing again.

No I think they said there was very little covid and its mostly rsv, the flu and cold this year.  It's understandable, viral spread is much more efficient in cold and dry weather (viruses remain in the air longer) -- the exact opposite of bacterial spread-- which is more efficient in warm and humid weather.

Nothing much for us in the snow - ice dept.  I was too far south in my expectations yesterday. A few sprits of snow here and there through this Tue, minor less than 1/4" amounts. The Wednesday system looks mostly on or N of I84 with best chance 1-3" accumulation n of the Ma Pike.

We do have wind chill factor tomorrow - Thursday.

Feb looks opportunistic the first 10 days via some modeling,   but no consensus on any of these being mostly snow events, not yet anyway. No new threads from me today. Have a good one.

Looks like there will be nothing to stop January setting a new record for dryness.
