A couple of sub zero nights next week, maybe we see some river ice by middle of next week? Haven't seen that for a few years. I saw a decent amount Sunday on the east side of the river near Newburgh. I was under the impressiom that Sunday was going to be a big ‘nothing burger at best but found myself running pre storm errands this morning. Filled up the truck, stocked up on windshield washer fluid and bought a new humidifier (with the stove going continuously for 2 weeks the indoor humidity was down to 25%. No bueno.). And made a pot of chili. When I finally had a chance to look, things seemed to be breaking our way. Still have to reload the wood pile but I’m really looking forward to this weekend.

I have a whole house humidifier that does ok but still have one in my bedroom too. I'm sensitive to humidity either way, too much or too little. Things do look to be going our way and as you pointed out, with the cold coming in we'll have some snow cover to go with the pond ice. I'll have to look at the winds after but I'm guessing we'll get some drifting afterwards as well.
wishcast_hater
I bought a snow plow for my quad for my 50th birthday. I figured the way things were going the past few weeks I would never be using it but looking forward to 6” + snowfall. My pellet stove has been cranking the entire month. I was supposed to hang with friends on Sunday down in Westchester County and said I would make the drive. At the time the METS weren’t calling for much snow but now I am reconsidering. Though I do love driving in snow. .
IrishRob17
I like driving in the snow when the idiots stay home. I remember driving during the State of Emergency in Feb 2010 and it was awesome.
