This would be historic. Never, in recorded history, has the entire state of South Carolina been snow covered. That also applies to Georgia. Ironically, North Carolina has been. And in "recent history. The entire state of NC was covered March 2, 1980; December 25, 2010; February 12-13, 2010

-2/12/2010 might have come very close in SC. I suppose Hilton Head and nearby did not have measurable and likely not 1”+ though.

-Also close but no cigar in GA in parts of 1/1977 and perhaps not quite the required 1”+ for all of SC/GA 2/25/1914 even though SAV had 0.5” of sleet 2/25/1914.

-But did your source miss 2/13-14/1899 for 1”+ in all of SC/GA?

-SC/GA likely came pretty close in parts of mid 2/1895

So the ICON and Canadian have a big storm again next Wednesday and no secondary wave. They have been very consistent in showong that. GFS has two storms, with the first one being too far south still, and the second one coming Friday being mostly ice.

GFS is starting to make me mad with the first storm being too cold to get snow and the second one being too warm.

Hope the UK comes in like the ICON and Canadian again.

@Brick Tamland -Facebook dude, DID tell us it was going to be too cold to snow .

Btw, I recall the Dec. ‘10 storm didn’t start until the 26th..am I wrong? Or was it the afternoon of the 25th? I still don’t have a white Christmas under my belt.

26th.  I remember because that's the storm that got me to this message board!

Here in NE NC, the ground was white before midnight on the 25th.

I drove a Chevy Aveo at the time, and had it parked near the side of my house.  The next day, the drifts were so high up against my house that you could hardly tell that a car was parked there.
