Yep, flooding is a big concern. Here’s 12Z EPS mean:

Really could use that rain in Eastern NC.  Took a trip to Danville, Va to see the casino last weekend, and I was shocked at the river and lake levels in South Central VA.  Really bad.  Not sure if there was enough water to get around on a boat.

I don’t know how to describe this other than calling this pure insanity: is this real? Of course the NW trend could mean much lower, especially close to the coast, would verify. So, for now I’m not buying this much will actually fall:IMG_2798.thumb.png.4a4d594306619d60eedbd9756a80338d.png

Looks reasonable considering all the Storms and Moisture feed coming up. Some areas from the MA to NE are going to be buried when all is said and done.

RE rainfall- while almost surely overdone, those amounts occur over the course of a week. Given antecedent dry conditions, this would be extremely beneficial. I’m sure some mountain areas (especially deforested areas from Helene) will see flooding, but overall this would be a positive drought busting rain.

Ffuuuuuuuuu.....

We were planning to be in the Atlanta area for the week of my son's break from school and we were really counting on some good (dry/sunny) weather for outdoor activities.  Not going to be happy if it's just days of rain...
