I'm rooting for the down east and south folks but still hoping the snow shield will come more north than showing right now.  I've seen it happen more than not.  We still have time for the snow to come north.

I havent logged in in about 10 years.   Could this really be it for south GA?

I'm not gonna get excited until 2 days out lol. It's awesome though being back home for first time in a few years and potentially getting a historic winter weather event. Then a few days later I'm heading back to Australia where the town I'm in is getting a close call with potentially a major hurricane this weekend. HWRF shows nearly a Category 5 storm.

We cannot win. Why can’t we just get these models to start falling in line.

Simplest answer. There is no line. The models are a simulated reality created by machines. In effect, a matrix.

Cue creepy music.

You can see the model confusion level for the NWS by reading my official forecast and discussion.

Personally, this sure feels like to me that you could draw a line from Augusta to Raleigh.  All points there and east will see freezing precip of some type.  Sharp cutoff to the northwest.  Usually screws me here, but that's ok.  Our southern and eastern bros need to cash in this winter.

They are basically the same model I think. RGEM is just the high res version

Yeah for the Canadian models, GDPS is the global model, RDPS (RGEM) is the regional model, HRDPS is the hi res model.
