18 this morning and the wind chill is going to be a little nastier today.

Been a long time since there has been a solid snowpack with persistent cold and wind in the days that follow. Have not seen the magnitude of blowing and drifting of snow across the roads like this since probably 2014.

I agree! This is becoming an awesome winter here in our area. If i get another 2" this weekend I'll only be 4" from climo. The long range continues the arctic hammer. We'll be walking on the bay in a few weeks.

What was your snowfall total ?

Here I measured 4 inches.  We do have snow blowing across corn fields

9.3"

Closer to a foot in Easton where I work. More than half the road I traveled to work this morning had packed snow with ice underneath, and in some cases drifts blocking one lane. Persistent wind/continued cold and the powdery nature of the snow make this an ongoing problem.

Wow, more than double from Middletown, DE. Be careful driving.

Wind chills this morning are rather nasty. A true deep winter morning.

Temp here curretnly at 20 F.

People hitting their brakes just as they approach these snow covered stretches is what causes accidents, or them ending up in a snow bank. Exact wrong thing to do. The asshole tailgaters still doing their thing too.

This morning the flowing side of the swamp (downstream of the dam) was iced over. This is a new level of winter for us. (Swamp plus tidal South River have been well frozen for some time now.)

My low was 18f overnight then warmed a bit by dawn.

I don't usually get cold but i have to be honest, with the winds it is absolutely frigid outside

I was about to post similar. Took the pup out this morning and it was pretty damn chilly. At one point, he squatted and took a dump and, in my rush to close the poop bag, I dropped it and I got  a small smear on my coat. That shit froze up pretty quickly.

DCA did well last night just being  2-3F milder than surrounding lows.  Winds never let up so did not get any radiational comparison and the winds do mix things up to a better evenness

yep - DCA is like NYC (Central Park).  The wind will keep the temp dropping so it's somewhat comparable to other areas.  Calm winds mean the temp stops dropping only a little bit after sunset.
