Since the end of the ULL, I've received 5 inches and it continues to steadily come down. Windy and 17 - a true winter's day. Advisories up until noon Thursday for 3-6+. Snow map shows me in the 6-8 range. Love it.

It's a good set up for basically snow/snow showers all week.  Definitely upside especially 2,500 or 2,600+ in elevation.

Keep building that base. Heading to Wisp in a month and hoping to find great conditions and an open mountain!

It's coming down really good on the Wisp (and my Ring) cameras right now.  Between all this fresh snow + cold temps to make snow, I'd be shocked if they don't have the full mountain open very soon.  When we drove back home Sunday, you could tell the lake was ready to freeze over fully (had been in parts).

Honestly, IMO Wisp sucks at making investments and keeping up with their equipment - although apparently they fixed their issues in late December so they claim to have full capacity back.

Even if the pattern relaxes a bit, the key is to avoid cutters that screwed them over in recent winters.

I remember last Christmas you brought the bad mojo so hopefully you don't sht the bed again in a few weeks.

The wind keeping the lake churned up last weekend was pretty much the only thing keeping it from freezing over.  I assume it will be solid and snow covered at some point this weekend.  Every time I check my cameras, it’s snowing.

Currently 25.8/15.1 at 2:45 and is the high so far. Started at 18.0 this morning. In and out of clouds, saw a few flurries between 10 and 11 am.

High was 26.1, now down to 22.9/14.0 at 4:50 pm. Will be nowhere near a record cold max (thanks 2014) of 15.2.

It's been a great upslope day. Sometimes the upslope is just conversational snow...not amounting to much. But today, I shoveled the driveway several times. I'd say in the last 24 hours, I've picked up 6.5" upslope on top of the 8 with the 'regular' storm. Driving around town, the piles are getting enormous (especially at the Oakland Wal-Mart) ... just so damn neat. High today at mi casa was only 18.

Come on down!

I might make it a point to come down and visit! Love to travel and visit new areas. I'll shoot you a PM at some point in the future to coordinate. Little busy for this month, but there will be other opportunities in coming months for a shot :D

The conditions last year sucked so hard. We drove through much of Maryland in pounding rain and while when we got to McHenry it had finally let up, it was like 45-50 degrees and the snow was rapidly being eaten alive on that main run on the front of the mountain. We had fun and all, but man…did the conditions blow.

I just want to get there and not see bare ground on 75% of the mountain and have my kids asking why we drove 3 hours to see a little bit of fake snow.
