IronTy
Can confirm deep snow cover near DCL. On the mountaintop I have a solid 2ft base that managed to cover my heat pump and the exhaust on my furnace so it shut down til I cleared it. Gonna have to build something to cover it for next year. I also discovered that 2ft of snow going up a steep grade is about the most the g wagon can handle without chains lol. Fun times.

Not sure how much I want another 3-4" snowfall, which is about the most I've seen from each storm. Mby has had a bunch of minor events and some entertaining squalls, but at this point I think I want a 6-10"+ event. Actually, the most I've seen here since I moved here in 2021 is about 6" in Jan '22. Agree, if no snow this week, will root for warmer weather before our next event. aldie 22
It's a weird snow melt, it's not melting like frosty the snowman in the sun it's basically just slowly contracting, there really isn't much wet out there right now. This stuff has been part of the landscape for 3 weeks now it's just gonna slowly fade away i guess
WEATHER53
Just don’t get melt in full shade and even 75% shade. Full sun bare and 75% sun 1-2”. Full shade still 3-4” That glazing last Sunday and 12 hours each day in the 20’s with lows 5-15 has really freezerized the surroundings
mattie g
What I find wild is that there's still plenty of snow on rooftops here. Of course, those in direct sun are bare, but any roof that doesn't get a reasonable amount of direct sunlight still has a couple inches of snow on it. Agree on the lack of really soppy melt. It's just a slow contraction of the snowpack with some damp areas around it.

The map : My low this morning 21f. Fast ice is accurate for the Bush River, near the top of the western shore. Everything I can see from my area still looks totally covered today. Agree about the lack of soggy, squishy snow melt. It's disappearing but in a very considerate way haha. Had a great afternoon walk in the woods.
