weathercoins
26.6 in Takoma Park. Given past few years I think I would have expected 46.2 and hoping the ground cools down fast enough tonight, so this is neat

Love blue sky mornings after a fresh show to catch the next ridge over. WOW. Y'all live in heaven...at least part of the year in McHenry. Drive safely getting back to the DMV, and hope you snag some more good pics at "home" this next day or two. Been a minute since I've hung out here on the MA forum and need to go look for a pic-specific topic...cuz I will be taking a ton over the next 48 hours and don't want to pollute the banter or other threads with 'em.

Paleocene
A rare blue-sky arctic day around here. Local weatherbug reports 27F, with 15mph wind gusts. Snow blowing off the trees and whipping around. Montgomery County ignoring plowing the tertiary residential streets. Deep winter feel, 10/10.
aldie 22
It would be cool to stay below 32 all week with snow cover. Today might be close but I think we can make it in most spots
WEATHER53
8-8.5 total and getting good blowing snow in the gusts now but not in the sustained. See if any drifting or recoverings arise

Makes it so I'm literally stuck in my apartment complex. Should I attempt to leave I'll be sliding into Colesville praying I don't get T-boned.

That was from several days ago As we’ve discussed winds homogenize DCA. During the windless snow event DCA was+4 on most surrounds . You don’t have to go back and research every comment I make about DCA especially when several other notables are saying the same thing. There are a few complexes back in my neighborhood and IDK why the County hasn't prioritized clearing roads leading to them out. In Silver Spring, its seemed like they're getting all the roads that the ride-on buses go on clear first.
katabatic
Since the end of the ULL, I've received 5 inches and it continues to steadily come down. Windy and 17 - a true winter's day. Advisories up until noon Thursday for 3-6+. Snow map shows me in the 6-8 range. Love it.

We spent in Christmas in Tromso Norway in hopes of cashing in on the Lights this year. All it did was snow. No Northern Lights because the skies were too cloudy. I'm totally snowed out right now.
