Took a 3-block walk to get a salad. It better be a GREAT salad.  20 degrees and a bracing 20 in downtown Baltimore, given the 10-15 mph wind...

yeah - cold in the city always feels enhanced.  When we'd have days like this in NYC, it was just fuckin brutal.

...POTENTIAL WINTER COMMUTING HAZARD FOR THE WASHINGTON AND
FREDERICKSBURG METRO AREAS THIS EVENING...

There is a potential for hazardous commuting conditions for this
evening`s commute. Isolated to scattered snow showers (a 20 to 30
percent chance at any one location) are forecast between 5 PM late
this afternoon and 10 PM this evening across the Washington
metropolitan area, the City of Fredericksburg, and southern
Maryland. Up to a half inch of accumulation is possible on area
roads and walkways.

If this threat materializes during the evening rush hour,
untreated roads could quickly turn icy. This could lead to
areas of dangerous travel conditions.

If commuting this evening, be aware of the POSSIBILITY of travel
disruptions. Plan ahead by allowing for extra travel time, and
consider using public transportation.

The Canadians have some minor accumulations too.

I made a post or 2 about this days ago in the other thread, but its just weaker than it could have been. UL energy moving east underneath a strong jet streak at 300 mb. Good lift but dry air/not much moisture available.
