87storms
Have seen a few flakes falling throughout the day. Also joined an indoor gym for the winter, so you know it’s getting serious.

wxmeddler
Today was a day. 23 degrees, with 15G40 mph winds and snow showers / BLSN. All while needing bare hands to touch nuts and bolts for installation. Fun times! 7

aldie 22
My new weather station might be running a tad cold compared to surrounding areas it says 24 now and closest station is at 25 so not too bad. It's really hard to find the right spot because I have alot of trees in my backyard but I think I have it in the best spot possible for my yard
katabatic
Snow began a little before 3 AM but so far, under an inch. Tiny snizzle at the moment and looking west, radar is unimpressive. Going to need a lot of work to get to a warning level event (again).
Terpeast
Low of 24.8, my weather station usually in line with others around me, if not 0.5 warmer. But it radiates really well at night or even early morning with no wind.
wxmeddler
Thermometers in general are pretty darn accurate to at least the nearest 1°F, even the worst ones are good to 1°C. If someone tells me, "well it was xx° at my house!" I generally believe them. The only ones I don't often trust is The bi-metallic strip coil thermometers you find on big round porch thermometers. Thermometers are really accurate, but the housing/siting is where things go awry.

WEATHER53
31.9 and 0.8 on the board I shop broomed the slate patio so all the slush is off. So now its a race between the wind to evaporate the wetness or the cold to freeze it. Will report back later

dailylurker
26 out there with the sun coming through the snow covered, frozen forest. Deep winter arrived last night with an epic entrance. Now we New England for weeks. 2
katabatic
Low of 12 which is what it remains. Light snow with winds gusting to 28 mph. January at its best in the mountains (from my perspective). However, my equator-born husband was less than thrilled to be working outside at Wisp all day lol.
katabatic
Pic taken during a squall last evening. That’s just snow, no real blowing snow at that moment. The trees in the background are about 75-100 feet away from my porch which is where this was taken. 8 1

No, I rarely go into the pub these days. Trying to stay away from endless free beer lol. My wife Cindy runs the show there. She'll be there today, be sure to say hi!
