North Balti Zen
I’ve still got a full glacier of snow pack on my north facing hillside that is relatively shielded from the sun .
dailylurker
Trail conditions at my local hiking spot were terrible yesterday. Greasy mud and half frozen sheets of ice made me thankful for the forecasted rain. I'm ready to start over fresh with another 10" snowstorm.
PrinceFrederickWx
I still have some patches of snow and ice IMBY, mostly in shady spots. So that’s been 27 days of snow on the ground. December gets an “F” but January gets an “A” for sure.

But I didn't now there was a minus possible on F. Maybe I just don't know how to fail well, even after all those years following the Redskins)

wxdude64
Had 0.67 in gauge when doing CoCoRaHS report this morning at 7 am. That will get me closer to 3 inches for the month. Already another 1/4 inch or so from what I can tell looking out the window. Currently 38.9/38.2 with fairly heavy rain and fog.

Update- around 1/2 in gauge now, temp has gone down a hair to 38.6/38.0. Little brooks/ditches are full and running fast, and the snow facing north and shaded is retreating. Around a quarter to 3/10ths rainfall per hour rates. Too bad it wasn't about 5 degrees colder.... Update of update, just elevated from Flood watch to Flood warning from NWS Blacksburg.

wxdude64
Sometimes it JUST ISN'T NWS's day. Forecast for today yesterday was rain and 55, cooler Saturday (51) before warming back into the upper 50's S, M and T. I have warmed a few degrees, currently 43.4/42.2 with rain. There is NO WAY barring a miracle I'm getting into mid 50's today before that front moves thru later this afternoon/evening lol. Oh, I glanced at forecast before I hit send, now 46 for a high, 47 tomorrow and 38 Sunday. Sheesh.
