clskinsfan
12 minutes ago, EastCoast NPZ said: It was snowing hard in winchester about an hour ago. Beautiful parachutes. Left costco and there was about 1/2" of slushy snow on cars, patches on asphalt, and whitened ground. Continued snowing nicely until i hit stephens city limits. Snow tapered to very light fine flakes per normal and there was nothing on the ground. Got to my house and the driveway wasn't even wet. Truly the armpit of VA. Thank god you went back.
SnowenOutThere
Around .1 just south of Reston. Seemed like most of the good blotches went a little to the north, either way can’t complain about a nice snow shower

Funny, I didn’t think I’d say this in what looked like an incoming -enso -pdo +qbo torch of a winter where one of the top analogs was 22-23, where we couldn’t even get below freezing half of those nights!

It’s crazy how easily you can get used to those mild temps. It’s all about perspective, just like how we feel like 40 is a torch right now! Ended with barely a coating in Burke tonight. Heaviest stuff was no more than 5-7 miles away. Oh well…

Yeah, I mean I get it, but I got 6 inches from the last storm and I'm still seeing a fair amount of it around 10 days later. Hard to complain about that. Now, the scraps will likely melt the next two days, but then hopefully get replenished on Sunday before our next extreme shot of cold.

Big difference this time is we’re tracking another potential snow event instead of staring down an 80 degree day in January like last year

87storms
Surprised to see barely a dusting at Bwi. Got a coating in Frederick. Roads were fine, but it clearly was sticking earlier. Side streets still had spotty accumulating. Looks like up to a half inch might have fallen.

About a quarter inch here in total between whatever fell during the day and last night's light snow.
