I'm working on a system conversion tonight so it's an all nighter, but at least the rain flipped to snow about an hour ago. Deck has already caved and hope our warning level accumulation comes to fruition here in Garrett County. Currently 31.8 with gusts to 36 mph ushering in this absolutely fabulous stretch of deep winter coming up. Welcome 2025!

That was scary time for me last night at 6:30 with that nearly tornadic thunderstorm by the Bay Bridge . That sort of volatility shows a huge rearrangement of the atmosphere surrounding our area. Now a Friday event appears possible so this enhancement trend may continue and we have a two week period where it snows every time possible. 1987 was huge with that with a couple other less so thus it’s been a while

Currently a degree colder (37.2/25.3) at 12:30 pm than at the 7 am CoCoRaHS report (38.2/29.5) with a NW wind at 11 gusting 24, feels like winter has returned.

A little difficult to see through the sun's glare at times. Not as sunny as when we were under a blizzard warning, but close. 28.2 with no accumulation since sunrise. Got a long way to go before we are even in the neighborhood of a Winter Storm Warning.

Here in McHenry, Md scoping out the Wisp Ski resort to see if I want to take the kids. Got here about an hour ago. Winter Storm Warning pinged on my GPS for the area. Got here before the heavy snow.

Right now heavy snow and 28 degrees. Not bad for 2.5 hours from DC.

I know you just landed, but...pics, please!  :D

It’s truly another world there with weather. Glad you’re seeing snow!

Last night, I was about to put out the trash for the trucks today, and it was close to 11 p.m. in Purcellville. The weather winds were gusting like crazy for a bit. Later, I saw a Marine warning posted for the tidal Potomac. It was pretty wild, as I measured a 40mph gust, but my station misses gust maximums, and I am pretty sure we had some close to 50.

Here was that wind surge looked like on my Weather Station. I waited until this morning to put out the trash :)
