2016 I don't remember...wasn't that the one-hit wonder year? And I thought 2017 was the one that turned into a sleet bomb instead...Now 2018 I remember there being all those 1 and 2 inchers in March like 3 weeks in a row, so I guess that counts. Now 2019 I don't remember at all! 2022 must've been a Miller whatever that just missed.

And I guess we're defining "snowstorm" differently. I count that as over 3 inches at least.

All that to say...I guess you're right. I think I've blocked it out since nothing post 2015 has stood out in my memory because it's been so bad overall.

1/14/2019 was the storm that gave Baltimore like 2" and DC got hit pretty hard. I know that because I trekked to DC that night to see the Blues play the Caps.

Yep.  I started a new job in DC.  I drove down on Sunday evening and everything was a mess.  295 had stuck cars everywhere.    The Fed government closed on my first day...lol

True, at least there is that. I just don’t understand how the Wizards have sucked so bad for 40 years.

Too much loyalty under both Pollin (Unseld) and Leonsis (Grunfeld).  I mostly agree with their current strategy of stinking in order to get high picks and build a foundation, but they're gonna need to earn fan's trust at this point.

Every other team in the NBA has won at least 50+ games in a season since 1979. It's almost a half-century of meh/bad basketball.

Well you did have that glorious but brief Gheorghe Mureșan era.  Seriously though I liked watching him play.  He had some talent.

Haven't been to a game yet, but I'm assuming it has to be a vast majority of away team fans

I've been to a half dozen games this year and, despite losing, they are a blast to watch. They have 4 impact players (3 starters) under 21 and are a lock to have one of the top 3 picks with a real shot at drafting that kid out of Duke. Beyond 2025, they have at least 1-2 1st round and 4 2nd rounders in the 2026 draft so they have a lot of draft capital to trade when the time comes to go for broke.

So yeah, they are truly at the bottom in terms of wins/losses, but are in fact pretty far along with the rebuild.

KD was basically saying this when he was asked by DC reporters about what he thought of the team when Phoenix was in town.  Trust in KD!

the number of threes that teams take is basically comical at this point - not everyone is steph curry lol

yeah it’s basically, dribble, dribble, dribble, launch 3. Rebound, run other way, dribble, dribble, dribble, launch 3.

College basketball is so much better.

I don’t know, he is almost as bad as Snyder. I’m a lifelong Wizards fan and I can’t take much more of this.

lol the wizards. Dont get started. The most inept franchise in sports history. Held on to Grunfeld for 16 years disaster years and then replaced him with Grunfeld JR(Tommy Shepp). Then brought in new clowns who couldnt trade Tyus Jones or Kyle Kuzma at the peak of their value and gave Deni Avijda away for trash bub carrington.

What a disaster the owner is and everything he does

It was for Bub and Brogdon, but still a sus trade.  Will need to see if the new FO picks pan out.  Too early to tell because they literally blew up the entire roster when they arrived.  Hard to argue with their picks so far given where the players have been selected in the draft.  What they really need to do is trade Kuzma.  He just doesn't make sense on this roster.

The Wizards drafted Alex Sarr the best C/F in last year's draft and have a good chance to get Cooper Flagg who will be the best C/F in this year's draft. If the NBA does address the 3 point issue and the game moves back to the paint, watch out.

the best is when they have a clear lane to the basket on a fast break, and instead they do a pull-up three.  come on man.

that said, the athleticism is still absolutely insane.  Some teams still play really pretty basketball.

if we got Flagg, that would be pretty big.
