mattie g
It's funny to see how many folks from PA keep commenting on the "north trend" for the Sunday/Monday event. We get it...you want it to snow more in your neck of the woods, but saying it isn't going to make it happen.

Luckily, at the same time my company needed someone with my specific skills to run another program whose team has been fully distributed (per the contract) since before COVID. Been a nice move for many reasons, and working from home is definitely up there (especially because the old project may be back in the office full time soon)! Nice! I had to be in once a week for the last year or so, but recently switched positions and now report to our Syracuse office, so now I'm fully remote and only head into one of the MD offices when I want to. It's quite lovely hahaha.

I go in to have lunches or happy hours with folks. Could have gone in today as I have an appointment south of my office at 4, but didn't want to be there the first day after the holidays so will just drive down hahaha

The government can't say that "contractor site" means an actual office, nor can it track whether people are in an office even if they wanted to. My company has no desire to spend the money on more office space, though we do have offices around the country now, but not nearly enough to support all of the employees. So it’s a product of COVID, really. 5 minutes ago, mattie g said: I'm on a government contract, but as I had mentioned our contract specifically states that we work from "contractor site." This, despite my team proving to be more productive since we went remote. Same old story pretty much everywhere, but we gotta prop up the commercial real estate moguls!
