Some north crew people always do this.   We all know DC isn't going to jack.  They worry about precip and meanwhile not only usually get the surprise beat down band parked over them, but with sick ratios and zero worries of sleet.   I'd take that over 4 inches, sleet and a backside inch.  ijs

who cares who gets the most? it's going to snow area-wide. i missed out completely in the first Jan 2022 storm so I'll be happy to be a part of this one.

We’ll do ok true, but I’d rather be you than me rn. Yall always get that mega death band.  I just wanna be under it. lol.

And I don't wanna be caught in between it. If that happens that'll be the biggest troll job on my yard ever, lol It'll still look awesome though :)

Wanted to get out of the house so drove to Blackwater Falls in Davis. It was spectacular. Easily 18 inches on the ground and not busy at all. We are all likely getting some snow to scratch that itch, but if you want a wonderful day trip to a winter wonderland tomorrow, I couldn’t recommend this more.

Apparently a lot here do.  Just give me some and I’m good

Like I told Mappy, I'm slowly getting there, man. It's been so rough for a all of our climo since 2016, so I appreciate the lighter amounts a lot more than I used to.

Now I know for me it's just that "left out of the goods again" feeling more so than being upset somebody else got it.

Anything over 8 inches is a pain in the ass now that I am an old man. :)  Pretty nasty warning for the southern Shen Valley. up to 5 inches with a half inch of ice on top. Glacier maker according to their mets.

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON SUNDAY TO 7 PM EST
MONDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow
accumulations between 1 and 5 inches and ice accumulations up to
  four tenths of an inch.

Blackwater is absolutely gorgeous. My wife and I’s first ever trip away from the area while we were dating was a hike in mid October to see the foliage in Blackwater. I’m sure it’s pristine in the winter with the blanket of snow cover. Enjoy!

#PREACH. My wife and I are each within the last year or so of our 50s. I loved tracking and seeing the white stuff (snow, not blow) pile up a decade or more ago, but GAHHH, I despise cleaning it up now. The only saving grace is that our late 20s-aged youngest son is "trapped" here with us until next Friday, after canceling his early Monday AM flight back to the Midwest in anticipation of the storm. And hell yeah, I will be absolutely be putting him to work on shoveling all of this on Monday...

Not appropriate for the storm thread so I'll just drop it here. I'm gonna preface this by saying that folks who live in the southern parts of this forum obviously don't get as much snow and their frustration is super understandable.

That said, the IMBY model hugging from many southern posters - and worse, the mocking of models and posters anytime a result shows something suboptimal for the southern areas - is kind of weird and petty. Will southern folks get jacked? Maybe! And honestly good for them if it happens.

I want to be clear: we all want the most snow in our backyards, and there is nothing wrong with openly cheering for that. But it's the passive aggressive stuff that gets tiresome. Let's all be better.

Highly recommend visiting nearby Douglas falls in the snow. Takes a little more effort to get to, but it’s every bit as beautiful as the main attraction at blackwater.
