You are ascribing negative emotions to my comments , mappy, that are not there. We all root for the most snow possible, me included.  I would really love to see a legit snowstorm - it has been years now is all. It’s so close, really hoping euro is overdoing the confluence and dry air issues up our way, but over the past several years we’ve seen this play out.

you just said it would suck to have a southern storm give them more snow than us? that's negative.

I get that everyone wants the most. I just don't understand it. I'm not looking to argue. I guess it's just me who literally does not care what my amount is, snow is snow. Enjoy what you get, or don't. Whatever.

I will enjoy every flake that falls :)

Nothing. Same characters as previous winters, a few new annoying ones. People still live and die by every model run. Snow is serious. blah blah blah.

Hope you've been good!

Great! Promotion, kids sports/activities taking over life, the usual.

Mappy I'm not sure if you've muted me, but anyway...this is kinda where I've been trying to get to. In fact I've thought about what you've said about this before about just enjoying the flakes you get. And now I find myself more able to do that...although at the same time I still want that warning level snow and not get fringed again, lol But I think if we don't focus so much on what somebody else gets...we're better off. Definitely gonna take time to enjoy it!

I'm glad you're working on that!

it's not even rational because raw oysters may be the most disgusting looking food around but those little crabs are next level

Seriously. Looks like ocean ticks. Had an oyster this summer at the insistence of my gf...hard pass to another can't get past the texture and the back of my bio brain yelling to me that oysters are filter feeders.

I literally gag when trying to eat oysters.  Eating them is a miserable experience.  I did somehow manage an oyster shot at Mama's on the Half Shell in Canton, though.

I’ve never seen those

I suspect they  could not come from the inside of the  oyster because the oyster is shut tight unless it’s bad. If it is bad it smells and looks that way and gets tossed

well i mean oysters open their shells when they are in the water to feed i assume...the crabs are parasites so they are definitely in there living in the oyster gunk

Oysters are awful (the seafood version of scotch).  Mussels are where it's at.

this is pleasant

Quote

Little is known about the pea crab's feeding habits,[5] but in the related oyster crab (Zaops ostreus), larval stages feed on plankton brought in by the oyster, while adults feed by taking the food that is a part of the oyster's diet, as well as what is not.[6] The feeding process can be harmful to the crab's host when it feeds on the mucous strings that help carry the food to the host's mouth.[5]

The are bivalves  so they are shut tight and I’m not sure exactly how water gets processed thru while nothing else. I suspect the crablike things were introduced from an outside source and never entered nor exited the shell.

AND the topic was created and revolves are those who like oysters  so not seeking comments about how disgusting they are. Be a grown up .
