pazzo83
at least one pickup truck went over the edge of Memorial Bridge into the Potomac, which is partially frozen. Yikes.
Deck Pic
i'm in a strange? situation. I have a funeral sunday. Death not unexpected. close family friend in his mid 80s. I don't want to put my thumb on the scale, but I told the new widow 1-3" is possible giving me some wiggle room. It's graveside. Probably 20-30 minutes tops. But all I can envision is old ladies (like my mom) slipping and sliding in the snow walking to the gravesite. I'm fine gutting it out, but it could be a debacle lol. Rescheduling is not optimal. People are coming in because MLK day makes it easier. It's gonna be a total shitshow right?

It was a long time ago and I was just a kid, but my grandfather’s funeral was during a typical 2-4” DC snow and there were a lot of old folks there too. We all got through it and the snow made for a special day that my family still talks about fondly.
Paleocene
Regardless of how you feel about the Eagles, if you like watching football, looks like a decent chance for a snow game for the 3pm sunday divisional playoff against the LA Rams. Or Philly will be on the I-95 rain/mix line and it will be a disgusting mess for everyone there, ha. If you, like me, want them to win: snow game advantage Saquon?

Heh, I gotta go to Lutherville tomorrow for a Sunday service of a long time friend who lost the good fight. He was only 56 yikes. The chance of snow is making me feel bad for the first time maybe ever. But, as always, don't fret things you can't control, put your best foot forward, and let the chips fall. I'm gettin tired of driving. 1k mi round trip to Ohio in 36 hours, ran to Pilot Mtn NC and back yesterday. Now Lutherville and back sat/sun. I generally love road trips but right here right now... I'm wearing out

But we dog walked this rams team in the middle of their “run”. When playing team that’s clearly a level below I don’t like anything that adds variance to the equation. I agree that the Rams may be at a disadvantage. I recall Stafford brought the Lions into Philly in 2015 or 2014 and shat the bed in a playoff game. But turnovers multiply in bad weather and you can't predict which team will screw up. My Eagles showed who the better team is about 7 weeks ago. Just like they showed Baltimore this year. But turnovers change everything. Where is that Bermuda High when you need it.
