Hey so sorry for the backyard question—have a student who needs to get back to VT in Blacksburg this weekend from DC. Any suggestions best day to drive? She can go Sat, Sun or Mon. Classes start Tuesday. Thank you

Ok yall.  Cut back on the sexual innuendo stuff.  Was fun at first, but we got ladies here and some of them aren't as amused as we are about it.

When is anyone amused by it?  It's old and childish

She should go on Saturday so she can party before the semester starts.

I'll be pissed if it rains on Sunday and washes away my remaining snow ahead of the cold snap lol. I rather have the weak euro solution. I'd much rather have an inch of snow than 45 and driving rain while your area gets crushed lol

I would rather get crushed.  Lol.

But it ain't happening.

Am I the only one who holds his breath while squinting through the window to see if there are any pixie flakes falling?

Omg it’s the worst at night, then I have to remind myself “what are you doing, even if it is snowing it’s so light it doesn't matter if you can’t see it lol”

I guess I wasn't thinking when i posted that I liked hr 69 on the 18z GFS :axe:

Sucks doesn’t it? I constantly have to reword some of posts so they don’t become a crude joke.

i'm in a strange? situation.  I have a funeral sunday.  Death not unexpected. close family friend in his mid 80s.

I don't want to put my thumb on the scale, but I told the new widow 1-3" is possible giving me some wiggle room.  It's graveside.  Probably 20-30 minutes tops.  But all I can envision is old ladies (like my mom) slipping and sliding in the snow walking to the gravesite.

I'm fine gutting it out, but it could be a debacle lol.  Rescheduling is not optimal.  People are coming in because MLK day makes it easier.

It's gonna be a total shitshow right?

I’m sorry for your loss.  It was a long time ago and I was just a kid, but my grandfather’s funeral was during a typical 2-4” DC snow and there were a lot of old folks there too. We all got through it and the snow made for a special day that my family still talks about fondly.

Regardless of how you feel about the Eagles, if you like watching football, looks like a decent chance for a snow game for the 3pm sunday divisional playoff against the LA Rams. Or Philly will be on the I-95 rain/mix line and it will be a disgusting mess for everyone there, ha.

If you, like me, want them to win: snow game advantage Saquon?

Heh, I gotta go to Lutherville tomorrow for a Sunday service of a long time friend who lost the good fight. He was only 56 yikes. The chance of snow is making me feel bad for the first time maybe ever. But, as always, don't fret things you can't control, put your best foot forward, and let the chips fall.

I'm gettin tired of driving. 1k mi round trip to Ohio in 36 hours, ran to Pilot Mtn NC and back yesterday. Now Lutherville and back sat/sun. I generally love road trips but right here right now... I'm wearing out

this hurts the rams way more than philly.

I will admit it should help the eagles. But we dog walked this rams team in the middle of their “run”. When playing  team that’s clearly a level below I don’t like anything that adds variance to the equation.

hopefully people will be smart and dress appropriately--meaning footwear mostly...leather-soled dress shoes and heels will definitely be a problem

agreed, usually shitty conditions favor the weaker team, but in this case the eagles' strengths are their o-line and saquon as opposed to the passing game...snow would seem hurt the rams more...then again, it's the eagles so...

That was my thought. Heavy snow would slow down what I'm scared about: Stafford throwing to Nakua and Kupp
