Also this furthers my point that all areas have seen some respectable events the past 5 and not just nw of the city as dmc stated. Also there's no way detroit had a snow depth of 14 at all the past 5 years. Maybe after that veterans day storm in 19 for some areas. We go through this every winter. I guess I should accept others are happy with average and dont mind other areas getting big dogs. I should lower my expectations and realize this area doesn't get the storms I want. Sure this should go in the banter thread but it's a pretty dead thread. I think people will be able to sift through our discussion I got what your original posting focus was, but others thought you just meant snowfall vs bigger storm winners/losers. 3/3/23 was my only quality storm in NW Wayne burbs during my 3 winters there fwiw. CIllinoisSnow
Congrats to all who cashed in today! Looks like dry air will be the winner imby, may be able to still manage to scrape out an inch tonight but we’ll see
Chicago Storm
For those in SE Wisconsin and NE Illinois... Don't sleep on the LES potential. While parameters aren't amazing, hi-res guidance is in full support in showing enough QPF for 6"+. So, while the parameters are not great, the production on shown on guidance is a big flag for me. 7

The snow totals remain anemic and dry air is still kicking butt. Maybe we can cash in next time. Glad to see you back Jack. I've had a couple of rounds of chemo and radiation for cancer, but am cancer free now. From radar it looks like you guys are both right on the edge of the sharp cutoff. In the meantime, we went from a WSW to an Advisory to a storm cancel. But we are having a virga storm. Oh, the humanity!! 3 2 1

See I have no problem with others liking what they like, and it's a no brainer that everyone likes different things. The reason we have this discussion is your hyperbole posts and stating incorrect facts. See what I bolded as an example. You haven't even spent much time in the area in recent winters per your own admission. There's no way Detroit saw 14" snow depth? Actually there were several days over a foot region wide in Feb 2021. Feb 16, 2021 snow depth Detroit- 14" Flint- 13" Ann Arbor- 13" Toledo- 17" 1

Thank you! Absolutely ridiculous complaining. I have to give a tip of the hat to the Euro here, it was pretty dang on point days ago in the medium range. One of the more accurately modeled snowstorms I've ever seen. I'm pretty intrigued at that Gulf low next weekend to see what it can bring

Unfortunately with the low traveling on this axis, I think the SE WI and Lake county solutions are most likely.
