I'm assuming the Lake Orion and Wyandotte numbers are measurements from you and michsnowfreak... I do not live in lake Orion anymore. I have my own numbers. I moved to the Stoney creek area on the border of Shelby and Washington. I used macomb because that’s the town Steve lives near of. We have a “snow measuring club of some sorts” that keeps track. Josh is in this club. lol

I'm assuming the Lake Orion and Wyandotte numbers are measurements from you and michsnowfreak... Wyandotte are mine. Macomb are his. Lake Orion is another guy who keeps daily records. Monroe is probably the least reliable because they are taken from a guy who doesn't really measure religiously, we always make give us a number when it snows . But it's all besides the point. The bottom line is prior to last winter there has been no issue with us getting snowstorms but a pattern like the one coming up doesn't look promising for snow for many.
dmc76
The entire point of this argument is for Steve to know the truth instead spewing nonsense for others to feel sorry for him. We’ve done ok the last 5 winters north of detroit. Last year was really the only true shitty winter. 1 2 1

sbnwx85
Solid jump north on 18z Euro. Ratios should be solid even on the northern most parts of the system with the cold air in place, no?

hlcater
NAM at 84 tends to be north so not putting a ton of stock in that. As others have said, not really gonna put money in this coming north until there's a marked trend of this system doing so.
Malacka11
Can someone pretty please explain to me what our expectations should be like regarding wind with this system? My understanding is limited essentially to "bigger pressure gradient = more wind" but I got no idea about the nuances.

Not a blizzard by any means but definitely going to see some brisk winds in the deformation band. Pretty tight isobars between that 1040 high and around 1000mb low.

Cruelty helps me cope with the pain of watching them let that loss beat them 10 straight (soon to be 11) weeks in a row. Anywho, here’s the Euro’s snow band placement over the last 24 hours. 1

Radtechwxman
0z gfs an improvement over 18z for high placement and strength. Allows precip shield to get more north. Not as good as euro yet but baby steps
