This did speed up from a few days ago.  Latest HRRR has some showers in the DC metro starting at 2pm.  Seems unlikely that we get anything more than white rain around here.

Never really thought this one was gonna result in accumulations, would just like my snow shower to be a snow shower and not a rain shower. Tough ask in Downtown DC

Don't get the NWS call for 1-2 inches here.

Can't they look at temps in the upper 30's and put two and two together and see it non accumulating?

The dewpoint is currently in the upper teens to low 20s regionwide and there are colder temperature advecting in aloft.

Exactly.   The initial lighter stuff will be either light rain or light white rain, but the heavier reflectivities closer to the front will be brief bursts of heavy snow.

It’s also colder than modeled. I’m sitting at 26 and my predicted low was 28 and I dropped to 22

25 with variations between SN/SN+ and big fluffy dendrites.  very high ratio stuff. Wouldn’t be surprised to verify on the higher end of the LWX map of 8-12”.  @jonjon should do really well.

Love this for the ski resorts.

Nada here. Absolutely nothing lol and I'm 10 miles away.

Hasn't amounted to much in southern Garrett County so far. Under an inch when it was said to be a steady snowfall this morning and not a flake in the last hour. Thinking the Warning level forecast - once again - may be a eenie tiny weenie bit overdone.

Really?  Even the Railey cam at the lake shows snow.  You’re in the desert of the county.  Lol:ee:

School announcements going up.  FCPS Maryland just announced 2 hour early dismissal

Nice! Haven't seen anything for BaltCo, but that's a tough call to make. I'm not sure they can only dismiss the Hereford Zone early

My boys live in Cecil County, and they are STILL on break. Don't go back till Monday, though I bet that's in doubt now.

Nice! Balt Co just went with a 2hr early dismissal. And yes, I don't think kids go to school Monday haha. Hope your boys enjoy the extra day off!
