LordBaltimore
just got back from a jebwalk in kings contrivance. Was legit ripping snow for a few minutes. Been awhile since I've had a brain freeze from snow + wind

Looks like another small one heading our way but a bunch of snow squall warnings out in PA. Maybe those hold together and get down here? They are far away, though and no modeling shows them reaching here.
AtlanticWx
1.3" here in Germantown. Confirmed with another spotter who lives next to me too. Highest rates I've seen in a while, it was like flakes coming down everywhere like whiteout conditions and whenever I'd step away I'd turn around and my footprints were covered

The 2012 derecho was a once in a lifetime event...and so was this afternoon. Pretty sure we're gonna keep this foundation of .75" of snow until whatever falls on Sun/Mon next week. 35 minutes ago, IronTy said: Wasn't expecting this to happen this far south. jmk
About .75 on the deck here in Gainesville. Roads melted quick but definitely slick and crunchy on the driveway and side roads.

Herb@MAWS
Still snowing. At worst it’s a Columbia Cartopper. Grass has that “whitened” appearance.

Deck Pic
34/32, partly cloudy. I was on the phone and missed most of it. But we didn't get hit flush long enough. There might have been passing minute where a shrub slightly whitened, but you had to stare close to see it. Congrats to those who got in the good bands
katabatic
I have done multiple intense LES chases in the past few years but this squall that just moved through was the most intense (albeit brief) snowfall I've ever seen. Easily an inch in the 10-12 minutes it took to move over mby.

NorthArlington101
Really glad I chased this into VA. Caught some (distant) thundersnow, some of what seemed like the heaviest snowfall I’ve seen. Massive flakes. Was probably 0.5” between both bands if you had a snowboard. Sick stuff. Nice consolation prize. Starting a thread that sticks the landing always good too lol 1

Random Chaos
Just got my first snow squall of this storm. My weather station is at 37F, but it’s 100’ offshore over the bay. My heat pump is reading 32F. And the snow stuck. So clearly 150’ has a 5 degree jump due to the Chesapeake!

dailylurker
That was absolutely epic! I just got crushed by a thundersnow storm. I've captured the lightning and thunder on video. The ground, including the roads are completely covered. Truly the best squall i ever saw. 7
