Yeah I just got the text.  Way to go Balt Co... nice advanced notice.  They could have easily have called that this morning... nothing has changed.

I agree for working parents, making that call this morning would have been ideal. Sorry if it causes you stress.

It's absolutely beautiful. It's snowing here steadily now, but it's truly just pixie dust. Amazing what a few miles can do. In the past, I've mirrored your accums fairly closely, with perhaps a little shaved off due to your higher elevation, but this has been really odd. At least it's snowing and not 58 degrees with a brown ski slope.

HoCo closing early.  Thank goodness my overworked kids get a break after 1.5 days of schooling!

I get the extra caution. I just don't understand the timing whatsoever. WWA was hoisted yesterday afternoon. They should have just let everyone know yesterday evening. So dumb.

And you know school systems are not the type to wait and see what happens... If they just here something might come the next day... they delay or close.... it is not like the old days... I sound more and more like my parents every day.

No stress here... I work from home.  I just hate incompetent decisions.  Balt Co seems to do that a lot.

Fair. But I agree they could have called it sooner. This morning would have been ideal. Lot of changes of hands going on in the system methinks.

They also close for stuff they would’ve only delayed for back in the 00s

Couple of things we have going in our favor today:

1.) Cloud cover will limit high temperature potential. We might bust a degree or three below guidance. Solar radiation appears pretty minimal as we approach the lunch hour.

2.) Dewpoints in the low to mid 20s will help us wet bulb below freezing pretty quickly.

3.) Soil temperatures are just above freezing, so the ground isn't torched.

Let's get this appetizer! :snowman:

Kids aren't complaining, until they blow three 3 snow days and have virtual learning instead

33/24 here. sun peeks out every now and again but not enough for me to be concerned about.
