They'd have to make the call pretty early in the day to get out 2 or 3hrs early.

Yea. I doubt it. Just not sure youd want buses full of elementary school kids driving in snow squalls.

Lots of bball games tomorrow night that could be impacted as well.

Aren't temperatures going to be quite warm when the squalls go through? I mean, maybe some of the favored northern areas are stuck in the mid 30's and it will snow hard enough to overcome the temp and stick to the roads, but my temp is forecasted to be in the upper 30's tomorrow afternoon. It would have to snow ridiculously hard for awhile to have any chance of sticking in those temps.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM TO 7 PM EST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, northeast, and
  northern Maryland.

* WHEN...From 1 PM to 7 PM EST Friday. A band of snow showers will
traverse the region Friday afternoon into the evening. Most areas
will only see an hour or two of snowfall.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Where heavier bursts of snow, this could
overcome warmer road temperatures and potentially result in some
slushy accumulation on untreated paved surfaces.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road
conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by
calling 5 1 1.

Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and
slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.

I live here, so I'll post pictures if they are worth folks' time. I am a bit dubious about the forecast, however - they have really struggled this year. The day of our blizzard warning the sun was out most of the day and ended up with only a few inches. The WSW that just expired this morning produced only 2 inches once again county-wide (and that may be a bit generous). So, hopefully the forecast for 6-10 tomorrow verifies. Folks at Wisp have been really frustrated by the forecast misses.
