Walked around Washington square park during my break at work. Beautiful out.

Snowing nicely at the moment in Manhattan. Looks beautiful out. The mostly forgotten dead end street outside my apartment has the tinest coating of snow on it. A success in my book!

Looks like a very sharp cutoff in south jersey. Mt holly office reported 1.4. 20 to 30 miles away is 6"+

As of about 1:05 pm, we're up to 1.1" and down to very light snow, with not much more on the radar to our west, so this might be it, unless we get a rogue band over the next hour or two. Not too far off my 1.5" prediction yesterday and more than I thought we were going to get around 9 am this morning when we got off to a slow start. Just enough snow for a few kids to sled on, although they left just before I got the latest pic below.

Made it just to 1" as of 1pm. Lightly snowing now

Here are some snow measurements as of 1 pm:

Central Park, NY: 0.5"

Newark, NJ: 0.6"

Kennedy, NY: 0.3"

LaGuardia, NY: 0.2"

Islip, NY: 0.1"

Measured around 1:05 pm, thinking we were done, but 2 minutes later the snow picked up again and is still going decently, so might pick up another 0.1".  It truly looks dry behind what we have now. My house is about 1/2 mile NW of where 287 and the NJTPK meet, so whenever someone says "north and west of 95" or "north of 287" I'm both, lol.

I'm leaving now for deer hunting. Great day to do it with snow on the ground. I love hunting with snow on the ground.

I'm glad the light snow event ended up working out. The models did a good job showing around 1 inch for our area.

the heaviest snow has come after 1 pm so hopefully they measure it properly, driveways now covered with snow.

Mt Sinai probably has the most snow of anywhere on Long Island on average anyway.

Looking more and more likely that we get 1 more band of snow as the colder air rings everything out esp if the ull keeps moving ene, pitt to harrisburg is starting to see a pickup on radar.
