North and West
Haven’t watched The Weather Channel in years. It’s a joke. Absolutely horrendous channel. Accu Weather and Fox Weather are slightly better (they’re still bad) because they’ll usually just keep broadcasting forecasts, even if they’re repetitive.I also like seeing some TWC alumni on either of those channels. I think NBC has a weather channel years ago, as well.In other news gramps, it’s been thirty years now since Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness was released. 🫠. Their whole brand is weather, yet when the most interesting and impactful weather is happening, in prime time no less, they air something else. And not something else that's bound to draw a lot of eyeballs mind you, but "highway through hell." It's like ESPN being one of three networks with rights to air the NFL playoffs and deciding that precisely when those games are live that they'll air re-runs of their 30 for 30 documentaries instead. They've done some major cost cutting. Actually so has ESPN, but ESPN was smart enough not to skimp on live coverage.

You posted in this thread on Saturday unless there is another post you are referring to that was taken down.

LibertyBell
This congestion pricing thing really sucks. I don't drive into the city more than once a month, but my sympathies are with anyone who has to go through this daily. Not only that, but the MTA also hiked tolls and fares. Maybe they want NYC to become a ghost town....
psv88
Play by play has never been worse on some boards. Every run “looks better” and yet the outcome is worse. People should just wait until the run is over. What’s the point in speculating and being wrong every time? 1 1

SI Mailman
I'm betting we nickle and dime our way to a 15 inch snowfall total at the end of the season in Central Park when all is said and done.

In some coastal storms there’s a sound enhancement effect due to the NE winds enhancing lift via frictional convergence over LI and lingering the snow. Growing up in Long Beach as a kid I thought the Reynolds Channel could help but all it helped with was changing us to rain sooner.
