Is there a place where we post about nationwide severe weather just like we have a Tropical weather sub forum ? I know each region usually posts their own threads on it but I think it would be more useful to have a subforum dedicated to it.

I thought under the main page we used to post severe but I guess you have to just go into the subforum where it's taking place

But at least he’s against the massive firings of the non-climate science portion of NOAA. I wasn’t so sure he was going to say that. I thought he was either going to say nothing or defend all of the firings due to political leanings.

Can't wait for the private sector to take over the NWS and NOAA all to stifle scientific innovation and charge insane rates to the government so some billionaire can finance another mega yacht.

Spot on. Decades of experience here with the government from the federal level down to the local, not with weather but I digress. The government way to "save money" is to cut positions and then hire consultants/private contractors with insane rates and overhead costs. The government winds up overpaying and then losing tons of institutional knowledge when the contract ends and a different company gets a new contract.

Thanks. I hate it.

They're showing these huge pythons in Florida on TV right now that are eating all the local wildlife.... and I thought the bugs and gators were bad wow.
Reason number 1 not to live in Florida are these pythons!

A snake that’s 3.14 feet long is a pi-thon.

@Rjay

 OK since Rjay brought me here and I often get brutalized by Randy for my dad jokes I will instead leave you with some deep philosophy. If you’re from Brooklyn you can just skip this.

When you can explain why a round pizza is packed into a square box and served as a triangle you will finally understand women.

I can explain the triangle part, that's the only geometrically sound way to serve a round pizza.  Just think about how a round object is sliced into equal pieces.

As far the square box is concerned, well, it's cardboard and this is how cardboard is typically made.

Women are harder to understand than any of the above though.

True, and the same people aren't the same size after they eat it either!

Thank you jb and Liberty. Your posts gave me a surge in adrenaline ( used to be hormones ). Unfortunately none of my initial responses would/could have gotten by the censors. Stay well and fed, as always …..
