wdrag
A burst of snow Tuesday morning will refresh area snow cover, helping many of us to a white Christmas (more than 1/2" of snow on the ground at 7AM Wednesday). There's a separate thread for the 7A Wed 12/25 snow depth. Snowfall may be impressive for short time, coating all untreated surfaces with slippery broom able fluff.

hudsonvalley21
Thanks Walt. Could be a tricky go tomorrow morning especially with the cold ground temps that will keep the snow from melting quickly on untreated roadways. Hopefully travelers and commuters take their time. Currently 21/7.

Models actually have it around freezing on the western half of LI just away from the ocean, and heavier rates would crash the temps quick. However they also show the precip weakening east of the city. The longer the time over water on the SW wind the more the temp might spike.

RU848789
Well, we got 1/8" in 15 minutes which is 1/2" per hour rate, so if this goes for 1.5 hours at this rate, that's 3/4". Will take it. Every flake is accumulating so roads already covered.

They're already at 2.5 they just didn't record it. I know it's a broken record but still frustrating.
