Id wager it doesnt't pass its been on and off again.  I believe DST was tried 1973 year round and quickly reverted back. Late morning or later sunsets - how much energy is truly saved.

It was dumped after 1 yr in 1973-too many kids waiting in the dark for school busses.

That’s a nice snowfall for Atlanta. They usually get more ice. Went to college there and some of the ice storms were brutal

Definitely

It all fell in 2 hours which is even more impressive. The WAA precipitation over performed like we have seen so many time up here in the winter

In NYC the latest sunrise of 7:20AM would be 8:20 and the earliest sunset of 4:28 would be 5:28 and 6PM sunsets would start in mid January under perm DST,

Bad idea especially during inclement weather - you want your kid leaving for school at 7 am in the dark ?

Yes remember well.  Perhaps just keep it the way it is.  Its dark for the early highschool busses already from 545 - 720.  Its the younger grades that are impacted between 730 and 8 if remaining on DST.

Agree i was just outlining the change and not pro or con the change.  Id leave it the way it is which is the most likely path.

my sons are in high school and they walk to the bus in the dark at 6:55am.   Couldn't imagine the younger kids doing that.   We don't run busses for 1/2 of an inch of snow I can't imagine younger kids going 3 months in the dark
