Just watched JB's atmospheric avenger.  Gotta give the guy credit, he pulled the maps from 64 out of his ass and it's an uncanny resemblance.  Not sure how he does that.

I watched his video as well & just looked up this 1964 storm that he referenced…

I would settle for a fraction of this.

I just watched that video..  it's eerily  similar to what's going on now.. was a good pick up by JB. JB is all about analogs..  and that jan 1964 storm is very very similar.  Definitely  something to watch as we get closer!!

If it doesn't end up a strung out POS chances are it does creep north. We've been burned so many times with the last 72 hour north creep. But it can't be strung out.

From what I'm seeing, it feels the effects of the storm off the coast, which interrupts it's flow and the dynamics, so it just peters out. Storm off the coast needs to move out or vort needs to slow. But slowing the vort could leed to a whole new set of problems, known and unknown, imho.

Nah I like where it is, the track. Nice and easy E-W just south of us with no mixing issues. It tries to dry slot us early, could be right but precip is likely underdone.

But it’s the ICON a week out, so…
