Nothing comes of it...but interesting to see all the potential during this time period.   I'm hyped for the 6th.   Not gonna go big dog hunting for now.   I'll take 4 to 7 of cold smoke and run

Snow on snow. First event ends and it’s snowing again 30hrs later. 2nd storm much closer to being great. I just don’t want to see wave one keep getting crushed. Needs to stay where it is and maybe juice up more. Looks like a clubbing coming at 162 then it dries up a bit on the front end. Keep that intial slug plus what it shows it’s a hammer.

First event has the looks of a cold 3-6/4-8 event that we haven’t seen much of in recent years. Low stress, no mixing.

Yup. Need a bit more breathing room but if you flip through the last 5-8 GFS runs, you can see very clearly that the Jan 6th Storm sets the boundary (train tracks per @Bob Chill) for the 8th. That’s why this run is closer to a 2-fer than 12z. But I’m good with 6-8” with some frigid cold.

Weekend of the 11th and perhaps MLK weekend setting up to be good ones for the ski areas along the spine. Natural snow + plenty cold for snow making.

Have seen a couple of storms down Southwest of the Baja moving west.  I was looking at the water vapor last night and one such low was moving west out there.

Verbatim, HH GFS has MBY below freezing from Friday evening through the end of the run. 10 days plus. I’ll take the under, but could be an impressive cold stretch.
