Once the sun does its thing we'll be back to mostly brown. It was good for the holiday mood while it lasted. Portland metro area has been one of the biggest snow holes over the last 10 years. Quite a few systems that missed to the south, making it an even harder pill to swallow. I’d wager southern York county has fared better than Portland metro since the 2015 winter. It’s insane/impressive that Westbrook still has an active snowmobile club

AstronomyEnjoyer
Picked up around 1.5" here outside of Albany. Hard to tell from the house cams, but it looks like maybe 1.0" at most back in Bradford.
tamarack
Finished with 6.3" as the 8-10 AM period added nearly 2". Y&TD is 31.5", the most for pre-New Year's since 2018. Last tiny flakes at about 10:30 then noon -2:30 was sunny. Clouds rolling in now, probably with some breeze to unload the upper branches.

WinterSnow
Snow happened before I woke up, I don't know exactly how much fell, I just know that it filled in the patches that had melted. Above freezing temps caused some melting again but looks like we should be at the 1 inch threshold for a white Christmas tomorrow morning. My first Christmas in CT/the Northeast and the first white Christmas I've seen since 2009.

SouthCoastMA
The Oe fluff melted today but it was nice to see some flakes in the air this morning, despite ending up mostly bare ground by this afternoon. areas further down cape might still have some of their man snow left from the Friday storm. Man its been a rough 5 years up there. I believe 23-24 was ranked as the worst sledder season in that area
