HIPPYVALLEY
This could be one of those storms that leaves Cape Cod and the Islands with higher season to date totals than the Berkshires.
Snowcrazed71
I'm really liking the way all that precipitation is blossoming half the Long Island all the way down to New Jersey coast coming in a bit. And it looks like it's moving pretty much due north Northeast. I have some hope that this will give us a surprise. As far as now, very ominous looking outside, the skies have gotten grayer and it looks like it wants to snow at any moment.
Typhoon Tip
this particular statement is only symbolic/jest but man ... the sky has that look! seems like it's been many years since that patina gray density dimmed the daylight so ominously over an actual gelid air mass such as this. and on this side of christmas - 6

I still want to see the western portion fill in more for places like ours to do ok, but this is about as much as we could ask for—excellent trends at the last minute turning a SE miss into a nowcast event. Upper 20s. Seems like every snow event the last couple winters was feeling more like late March with temps in the mid-30s trying to wetbulb down below freezing. 1
ROOSTA
A vivid reminder of the "feeling" regardless of how much. Just to see the flakes, watch the ground and street whiten. "Maybe it will be more than". If your a weenie like I, everyone can relate? Nothing else matters when it's happening.
