I think a dusting to an inch still looks like a good forecast for our area as well. 12 HRRR looks reasonable to me with a little accumulating snow overnight. A coating to an inch for a lot of NJ on the model, with maybe a little more to the west. It will be nice to see the white ground tomorrow morning.

New 12z HREF with 1-2” for most and 2-4” for elevated locations N&W.  Only exceptions would be the Jersey Shore and the South Shore and East End of LI

I’m in Melville today and it’s coming down. Visibility dropping below a mile. Maybe we get a coating on colder surfaces

It’s been absolutely dumping snow in Melville for an hour and there is zero snow on the ground, car tops etc lol. 
 

Maybe because it’s relatively built up down here and above freezing, but also expected

I'm a little higher elevation compared to Rt 110, that helps too. I noticed some small accums around Jericho Tpke, I'm just north and east of 110.
