HIPPYVALLEY
I'll wait for Monday night's model runs but I think this will be a bombing storm heading East of Maryland. The NYC peeps may get in on a nice event. SNE obviously not out of the game yet but those positive trends need to be apparent by 18z tomorrow.

There are things(lil vorts) starting to show up that weren’t there earlier too…so this has a ways to go before we see any consensus. But it’s still not in a bad spot for us at day 6+. Should be fun going forward over the next few days at least. We’ve all forgotten how to track this shit…..in years of yore this was all fine cuz you knew it would just all come together….still days out…. The most important runs will be tomorrow through 12z Tues and then if it is still south or disjointed, that's the likely outcome.

weathafella
Yup, Didn't think to look at upper level tabs. Anyway-it's a whiff for everyone north of the deep south.

weathafella
I miss big snows though. We bought a good treadmill for walking indoors when there's too much ice. Last winter we used it because it rained so much but it was warm. This year it's cold and dry. Save for that 10 days period after we got a moderate snow on 12/20. Then the walks were treacherous. On one my wife went down but was ok. About a mild later she realized she didn't have her phone. We used "find my phone" to locate it in the snow. Tonight I walked and it was biting cold and of course dry. I'm ok with that but i miss snow...
40/70 Benchmark
I'm comparing 00z EURO tonight to last might, when it clobbered SNE and it appears to me that the main difference is the N stream insert is now much weaker. I don't see the s stream being left behind.
H2Otown_WX
FWIW: https://www.eas.slu.edu/CIPS/ANALOG/DFHR.php?reg=EC&fhr=F144&rundt=2025010600&map=tbl You'll notice some ominous analogs in the top 5 including 2/10/10 and 1/20/00 I couldn't recall the storm in February of 2014 listed there but apparently the Cape got crushed: https://rightweather.com/2014/02/southern-new-england-snow-totals-february-15-2014/ Using purely analogs of the GFS evolution it would appear the ceiling of potential is 1/27/11. Not surprised....the run sucked. Its like farting and "discovering" that the #1 analog for the odor is shit.
40/70 Benchmark
It looks to me like the s stream is pretty much figured out...the issue is the N stream. The shitty runs are more s stream dependent.

40/70 Benchmark
Putting all emotion aside, toss this EURO run...N Stream has been dominant all season. Whether it gets us is a matter of just how strong N stream actually is...we should know by Wednesday.
