Boston Bulldog
More southern stream involvement with the clipper Wednesday night on the 0z GFS… but the models have been absolutely all over the place for mid-week. Vorticity features are hundreds of miles apart from run to run. I don’t think this fast flow in the northern stream will be properly resolved for a while. Also the fast flow will make timing difficult for a larger event. 2

Go Kart Mozart
Tip will love this from today's NYT: On Wednesday, the ground speed of a flight from Las Vegas to London hit 814 m.p.h., close to the subsonic speed record of 835 m.p.h., which was set by a flight from New York to Lisbon last February.

Spanks45
-0.9⁰ this morning, that makes 3 out of the last 4 nights below zero, the only night that didn't got down to 0.3⁰. Impressive for sure around here, especially since I didn't get below zero that last 3 years. It did get warm enough yesterday that the snow finally melted off my south facing solar panels.

My brother did DL230 from JFK to FCO with 200Mph tail winds. Got it to Rome an hour early, but there was congestion and limited gates for his bird so ATC kept him in a holding pattern for 45 minutes east of Corsica. I do love it ... thanks for demonstrating someone's actually been not ignoring this when I've written about it. lol - seriously though. Any kind of empirical evidence that supports attribution - to which excessive compression in the winters --> higher velocities is a part ... - tends to get swept under the rug, while our brand of denial is this mind game in here of admitting CC but not allowing it to be causal or a part of the actual weather's make up. 1
