And look at all the snow to show for it, oh wait...

If we can dodge snow thru the 31st, this will be the least snowy January I've seen since 1969.  The next month brought the "Mayor Lindsey" storm that paralyzed NYC, in part because a forecast cold rain turned into 15" of paste.

I keep thinking back to the top 5 driest falls and how every single one of them all had dry/ not snowy winters. That was not a good sign .

I remember how dry 01-02 was. I think 05 had a really dry summer but then the fall went nuts with tropical remnants in October.

The best we can do is a 1 km by 1 km grid.

Just ask @alex, pretty sure his forecast grid goes from like 1500 ft to 2700 ft.

Yeah, over time you learn to figure out how to adapt it. In rad cooling, go under. In cutters, go over. And most of the time, it’s a crapshoot anyways :P

Going to be several all time records at big climo spots..

BTW the trend northwest has been remarkable with this Atlanta now getting some accumulating snow and parts of NE North Carolina that 36 hours ago weren’t expecting snow are now under the gun for 6-12”!

Maybe the cape and islands can get some.

It's great we got the cold, just need the precipitation.
