With winds gusting over 30 kt, I would say you would need a larger temp difference than this to get sea smoke as tall as the picture shows. 30 degrees is about the minimum I would want to see to have it obscuring visibility with winds like this.

But the CC shows the rain/snow line south of the buoy location from the MOB 88D.

I bet they get a historic snowstorm next year too...except it gets into southern Florida. The NHL is oddly doing outdoor games in Florida next January. I was betting on them like a crazy heat event with temps in the 80's but watch them get a snowstorm instead

Got down to 0F here last night.  Tonight the Euro has it -2F, while the always warmer GFS has it at 8F.  I'll go with the Euro. The ridiculous UK has it at 14F.

Looks more likely than not that BOS will have its first Jan that doesn't hit 50 since 2009. Average monthly max is 56, previous recent below-50s include 2009 (40), 2003 (44), 2001 (44), 1991 (49), 1985 (45), 1977 (47), so about one year in seven.

I'm starting to wonder if the biggest impact CC will ever have in this region of ours is specifically forcing weather that everyone hates, period.

Some places in the world it gets unbearably hot.  Some places unbearable cold.   Some get crazy floods.  Others buried to roof eaves in snow...

I've been watching while I work, all the chasers out there, two in down town NOLA right now and it's dumping and blowing... I'm sure there will be more pics incoming. lots of ppl out walking around in the city loving it. They are saying NOLA official record is 8.1", but there's some skeptical opinions on this because both Lafayette and NOLA records are from 1885 I think, so who knows how that was measured.
