New orleans will probably have more snow than parts of SNE had all winter by the end of the day.. crazy!

Hell not just this year. There's a large swath along the Gulf Coast and the SE states that will have eclipsed my seasonal totals from each of the past two winters too. Happy for the weenies down there...but this shit is getting old man.

i'm hoping that the mounting cost of these idiocratic absurdities, to go along with the shear ludicrous spector of it all, forces a "correction" - leave it at that

Well... yes. That's exactly why we're where we are today... and will be again and again. It's all this excessive push/pull on both sides that causes this stupid whiplash

Still a snooze fest on the 12Z OPs. Hopefully one of the waves shown in the future will trend to something to track like this last one did. I said it before, if something's gonna pop it likely won't be seen until it's a few days out

Doesn't help we have another fold over trough in srn CA screwing up any s/w's from diving south.

Crazy cuz it’s snow you mean right?  …I mean moisture coming off the gulf isn’t crazy.

Yes. The radar is snow textured too. It’s not full of convection like you typically see down there.

That is pretty wild. You would have thought thundersnow down there would be associated with some extreme mlvl instability...nope, due to extreme lift and crosshair sigs

Just like our weather pattern, a correction from what we are experiencing right now does not necessarily mean going back to something that was before

just wait 'till May when that folding mechanism repositions into Canada, and we start BDing snow flurries again while PHX starts setting early heat records ...
