Exactly no one wants a day 10 jack. Euro and gfs have the pieces in place, just need to work on placement and timing over the next 5 days then start reeling her in by early next week.

Yeah, let this continue to crush the southeast for another couple days before we start lifting this north west as we get to D5. I think guidance is being overzealous on the strength and longevity of the block. Just a hunch.

Yeah the 1/10 look has subtly improved today despite not getting an OP run tempest. Still could easily miss of course. 
 

Ensembles showed a bit more separation of the main shortwave and ambient lower heights near us and to our northeast. So hopefully we’re able to space something.

I would be totally shocked if the Northeast corridor were to be "shoutout" during the next two week stretch.
All this potential with all the moving pieces. Timing and placement are obviously not resolved. 
With all this negativity might be time to take a break.

It happens a lot like that when we got some good ones, you don't see them 10 days out but then a couple days go by and something pops up.

Lots of uncertainty of how all this ultimately plays out over the next few weeks….modeling not helping and all over the map, so I think that’s lended to the thread grinding to a halt.

While they haven't been steady, I say the movements have been generally less toward fun and more toward suck.

as long as we have a decent cold air mass around, there may be something that materializes, the cold dry/warm wet winter crap is what gets everyone down. we've got a decent close to climo temp stretch, maybe the block weakens some and allows for what some ensembles show, until we get within a few days, with model consensus, we can only watch and hope.

So... Torch Tiger... Just curious why you felt the need to laugh at my post. Enlighten me... Why do you think what I said was worth a laugh? I'm sure everyone would love to hear what you have to say. Well they’ve been all over the place imo…24 hrs ago the always crazy 18z GFS had a society ending storm lol. 12 hrs later it had nothing.  That’s pretty much all over the place.  But I get ya.
