lol I have five posts a day, what do you suggest I do?  We can’t all be jestering like Primshine with 100 posts a day even when he says he’s not posting today about ZR maps on 300hr runs.

Not to mention:

Yes I do post the long range maps on operationals

*However*

I don't take much stock in them. It never hurts to have a 'baseline' image if there is a potential system that could be lurking. 384hrs is a lot of time for systematic evolutions in the atmosphere and a lot can change from one run to the next. Yes, in 99.9% of cases a storm goes "poof" or changes in evolution (like our last system for example), but there is the rare case where it does happen as shown so it never hurts to see what the full buffet of outcomes is, even if they are complete whiffs. I been studying the weather since I was a little kid when Floyd happened, so I am no rookie when it comes to meteorology, but I am always eager to learn from those who are far more knowledgeable (Will, Ray, Dendi, etc.) especially since I am still relatively new up here in New England.

Not to mention, have you stopped to consider there is a method to my madness, as the saying goes? As much negativity as there is when things don't fall our way, I am trying to be the optimistic little bundle of sunshine that shows not all things are lost (like how I commented earlier about how it at least feels winter-like instead a horrendous blowtorch). It at least brings something to the table that is a different perspective than the general consensus, and just mainly serves to try and make shit feels less shitty. So I will continue to operate my little shinery here in the valley of Southern Vermont, no matter how much the others here continue the light hearted humor about it.

BDL might be +4 for Jan after today

Keep in mind BDL is prob running almost 2F too warm. But even that almost +4 should get wiped out if guidance is anywhere close to correct…it could always be overdone, but I’d be surprised if the next two weeks are near normal instead of solidly below.

Winter started Dec 1. Unfortunately it’s moving quickly . But we should see some events prior to the pattern flip to warm mid Feb

Actually it was 12/22.

I was just starting to write a post on that. Yes, meteorological winter starts December 1st, but the actual first day of winter is the later date. I just don't get how Kev always tries to push winter earlier. It's not even a snowy time for us in early December generally. And on top of it, he's already saying that we're going to have warm up for mid February. Maybe we will but there's no way to know that now.
