Right.... There's my point... You're not really on here because you have a passion for winter. You're only on here to troll. It is what it is, and call it what you'd like. But you just said it yourself. Join a forum down south. You'll probably do better there

I like a big winter storm but generally it's my least favorite season.

enjoying the science? Learning? Sharing obs? LR forecasting? Naw that's  trolling, banned

Not to defend TT but you're not going to run short on lollipops anytime soon. Rainbows either. We are approximately a third of the way through the winter.

However you want to look at Ken..he’s a Troll.  And however you want to look at where we are in the winter season, we have more time ahead of us, than behind.

And I am certainly not all positive all the time.  Sucks we missed this Saturday’s big storm opportunity.  But yes, I’ll be ready to accept any snow that Mother Nature will give us come Saturday.  If we get zero, that will suck.

Pattern looks to offer more opportunities(SWFE/Overunning potential?) going forward this month, with cold around too.  So if I’m not all doom and gloom, well I’m sorry. Lots of winter to go through yet being it’s only 1/8.

I can’t say that I recall a period of nonstop wind like this one.
Im sure someone on here has data to show it happens in whatever amount of time but this has been a while.

Can see why with all these SLP just pinwheeling around NE of here theres wind.

Yeah. I get the mechanism (great graphic btw).  I don’t recall such a prolonged stretch like this. 2-3 days seem pretty common.  But this is what…day 6?

Yes, Its been relentless, Ever since the block formed and we've had those constant 50/50 lows just pinwheeling.

What are the conditions like? The wind must be blowing the snow right off the mountain.

It’s like 3 foot drifts alongside large areas of scour.  The wind has smoked all open areas, with drifts in the lee of any topography change.

It goes from wind stripped crust, to deep snow.  Highly variable, comes with long duration windstorms.

You go to eustis a lot right? I'm willing to bet you've run into my nephew. Crazy guy on a fancy Polaris? Goes by the name of Ben.

He goes there all the time. This is his sled.  When you see him tell him his uncle says go easy.

Took 2 hours off work to stake the lake today, 3 miles long, 10-16 inches of ice, another week of this and we'll be able to take our big machine across the ice. Might be bad for snow, but we're making ice like crazy up here.

Hope something works out for MLK weekend, we have the base and frost, literally 6 inches and we can be grooming. Businesses are hurting after the last 4 crappy winters.

Wife's 2017 900ace, could maintain 95 mph the whole way down the lake so we got the corners right.

The past few days have have felt like living in an arctic area with the fine constant snow, the wind and the drifting. I hate wind but it’s been cool in a way, very raw. Another 2-4 is in the forecast for tomorrow, I’m hoping it helps open a few more glades assuming that the snow tends to stick around much better in glade trails
