Concerning the heart of winter, this one's cooked locally. No meaningful snow (major/sig) on the horizon which basically wipes 2/3 of winter including peak coldest climo

Would be a more meaningful graphic if it showed snow depth days (SDDs) instead. It would probably show even more of a deficit in a lot of areas. Many areas in the Midwest and northern plains actually have bare ground or very little snow cover right now, which is unbelievably sad for the time of year.

Im sure someone on here has data to show it happens in whatever amount of time but this has been a while.

Not to defend TT but you're not going to run short on lollipops anytime soon. Rainbows either. We are approximately a third of the way through the winter.

Yeah, this is just stupid. I don’t mind the cold weather but I can do without the 3-4 days of 24hr gale force winds.

Amazing how the big water hasn't frozen because of the winds. Certainly been cold enough.
