And we had historic snow here. Wasn’t hard to see that it was gonna flip at some point for both places. Everything still on track, I just think the fact that the ops don't have some mega snow storm in the 7-15 day range has people shook. Also EPS took a slight step back in the extended GEFS still great.. Our holiday torch period went from 7-10 days to now 4 days Dec 29-Jan 1 in the 40s and 50s with two rainers.. Def not as bad as it once looked.. And we won't truly torch into the 50s/60s wiping out snow pack into CNE/NNE like it once looked.. After the New Years Day storm, the pattern will be open for business with ample cold available and snow threats to track first threat is Day 8. 3
mahk_webstah
A few weeks ago, I committed to ignoring anything until inside six days. Seems like we have some crappy weather for a few days and then the first possibility for something snow here at least for some of us is probably January 2. The rest of it is all up for grabs, but there are hopeful signs.

Stop posting like an old accuweather forum poster, at least in these threads The sad part is…at least in the Accuweather threads, they would remove those so fast, and if you continued, they would suspend you immediately. That place was run tight, the trade off was there wasn’t as many knowledgeable hobbyists /METS there. But they had some good ones too. This place used to be better/higher caliber. Unfortunately it isn’t anymore the last couple years. 1 1

ORH_wxman
I’d say the two dates to watch in the next couple weeks for snow potential are 1/3 and 1/8. The earlier system around new years looks too warm…maybe NNE can grab something from that. 1/3 isn’t supported by euro suite but GFS has been trying to amplify a wave behind the NY system. 1/8 is a more supported longwave look. But obviously too far out to really have a strong signal yet but there’s been a weak one for a couple days.
